Have you ever tried to put out a bonfire? Until you have dragged the burning sticks to opposite corners of the fire pit, it is almost impossible to put out the flame. Each one of us carries a small flame of passion and desire for God. AW Tozer calls this the fellowship of the burning hearts.
Alone, we struggle to keep this flame alive. But add a second burning stick to this small fire and suddenly the flame is larger than both combined. The fire continues to grow exponentially as more sticks are added to the group. Larger pieces of wood begin to burn, and even wet logs dry out and join in the blaze. Those who stand by the fire begin to feel its heat. The fire gives light in the darkness. Even a little bonfire can completely change the atmosphere! Come, join the experience with other young adults! Every Friday night, we meet together with God and enjoy Him through worship, the word, encouragement, community, and prayer. Every night we meet is a little different, but expect to leave encouraged and changed. "To behold is to become." |
